The “USA view” is the non-MENA cohort, while the MENA view is calculated from the country field using Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates. Neither cohort is a complete census of regional companies or rounds. By default, bars show the top three sectors by disclosed annual funding. When filtered, bars show each selected sector's disclosed annual funding whether or not it ranked in the top three. The charts do not measure a regional delay, and each panel uses its own USD scale. Funding includes disclosed USD Pre Seed, Seed, Angel, Convertible note, Series A–I, and Venture round financing. Debt, grants, post-IPO, secondary, corporate, private-equity, crowdfunding, ICO, and other round types are excluded, as are undisclosed rounds.
